Rams:
Hear me out, the Rams have very little draft capital this year and are strapped for cap. But will have plenty of both in 2024. If Lamar Jackson’s salary in 2023 is a signing bonus and he doesn’t affect capital until 2024. The Rams could deal Stafford for an almost even trade to the Ravens for Jackson. Jackson would immediately fill seats in Sofi stadium.
Falcons:
The Falcons have both the draft capital and cap space to make an immediate move to trade for the former MVP, surround him with talent, and take the wide open NFC South. A trade of Desmond Ridder and a few picks makes all the sense if you are Atlanta brass.
Panthers:
Another NFC South team, the Panther shave been struggling for 8 years now at the QB position. With some top picks in the upcoming draft and plenty of cap in the next few years, signing Lamar makes way to much sense.
Buccaneers:
My same argument for the other NFC South teams, the one advantage the Buccaneers have? Lamar Jackson is from Florida and would probably love to be close to home. Not to mention TB has arguably the best WRs and RB combo in the NFL.
Commanders:
A simple drive down the Baltimore/Washington parkway would land Lamar in his new home in D.C. With a true WR1 and solid RBs this team could be very enticing.
Texans:
While he wouldn’t be coming here to win it all, he could possibly get the money he wants. The AFC South is slowly being over taken by Jaguars. Perhaps the Jackson could lead them to the playoffs.
